According to a September 13, 2026 report by Gulf News, the initiative gained significant momentum following the extreme rainfall and flooding of 2024, during which the founders assisted over 100 vehicles. When a call for help is received, the team first requests the exact location, photos, and videos of the vehicle to determine if physical intervention is required or if the driver can be guided to self-recover via phone or WhatsApp. This approach aims to reduce unnecessary risk and optimize resource allocation.

The founders highlight the dangers of off-roading in temperatures reaching 45 degrees Celsius or higher during summer months. They advise motorists to carry sufficient water, maintain a fully charged phone, share location data, and ensure vehicle readiness before venturing into remote areas. Operating the rescue network incurs significant personal costs for the founders, with fuel expenses reaching between Dh3,000 and Dh4,000 during busy months. Their primary recovery vehicle, a 2015 RAM 1500, has undergone approximately Dh100,000 in modifications to handle extreme recovery operations.
Assisting Newcomers In The Desert
The team frequently assists newcomers who may inadvertently take standard vehicles onto soft desert sand. Ahmad and Nora note that common errors, such as incorrect tire pressure or improper driving techniques, often lead to vehicles becoming stuck.
