Tragic Death of Kerala Expat in Dubai After Friday Prayers
A 32-year-old Indian expatriate was found dead in his parked vehicle in Dubai on September 19, following a routine trip to attend Friday prayers. The incident has sent shockwaves through his community in Kerala.
T.V. Firoz, a resident of Kanhangad in the Kasaragod district, was a businessman who operated a supermarket alongside his brothers, Ashraf and Jainuddin. The tragedy began when Firoz left his residence at 11:00 a.m. to attend prayers. When he failed to return, his brothers launched a search that ended in heartbreak at 9:00 p.m., when they discovered him unresponsive in his car parked behind their shop.
In a desperate attempt to reach him, relatives had to shatter the vehicle's window to remove his body. He was rushed to a hospital, but medical staff pronounced him dead upon arrival. While preliminary reports suggest the cause of death may have been a cardiac arrest, official post-mortem results from Dubai authorities are still pending.
Rising Concerns Over Indian National Fatalities in the Middle East

According to a statement by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to Parliament on September 22, 2026, 16 Indian nationals have lost their lives due to regional conflicts during 2026. - Saudi Arabia: 1 death
