Sharjah Launches 3 New Bus Routes to Etihad Rail Station
The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has introduced three new Sharjah bus routes to the Etihad Rail station in Al Dhaid, providing much-needed connectivity to the national rail network. The new services, designated as ER1, ER2, and ER3, are designed to offer residents and expatriates a convenient alternative to private vehicles and taxis.
Connecting to the National Rail Network
The Al Dhaid station is set to become a major transport hub following its scheduled opening on September 30, 2026. Once operational, the station will provide rapid rail links to Fujairah—with journey times as short as 25 minutes—and extend connections to Abu Dhabi, significantly enhancing regional mobility.

The new feeder services are designed to link various bus stations across the emirate directly to the upcoming Al Dhaid station. All routes operate in both directions.
Route ER1: Al Madam to Al Dhaid
Route ER1 connects the Al Madam Bus Station to the Al Dhaid Etihad Rail Station, with an approximate travel time of one hour. This service includes stops at several key locations:
- Al Madam Sports Club
- Al Madam Health Centre
- Mleiha
- Victoria International School
- Al Dhaid Industrial Area
- Al Dhaid Mall
- Civil Defence office

- 6:40am, 8:50am, 9:50am, 11:20am, 12:30pm, 2:50pm, 3:20pm, 5:00pm, 5:50pm, 8:00pm, 8:40pm, and 10:50pm.
Route ER2: Al Saja’a to Al Dhaid
Route ER2 operates between the Al Saja’a Bus Station and the Al Dhaid Etihad Rail Station, with an estimated journey time of 43 minutes.

- 6:40am, 7:55am, 9:50am, 10:55am, 12:30pm, 1:25pm, 2:40pm, 3:55pm, 5:50pm, 6:55pm, 8:00pm, and 8:55pm.
Route ER3: Al Jubail to Al Dhaid
Route ER3 links the Al Jubail Bus Station in central Sharjah to the Al Dhaid station, with a total journey time of approximately one hour and 42 minutes.
