RAK Police Safety Briefing for Ceramic Company Contractors

The Ras Al Khaimah Police have held a specialized RAK Police safety briefing for contractors and employees at the Ras Al Khaimah Ceramic Company, focusing on two vital areas: professional workplace safety and the prevention of cyber fraud.

The session, which took place on September 27, 2026, was organized by the Red Island Police Center. The initiative was carried out in coordination with the Ras Al Khaimah Police's Community Protection and Prevention Department and the Cybercrime Division to ensure a comprehensive approach to industrial security and worker welfare.

To ensure the information was accessible to the entire workforce, the briefing was conducted in Arabic, English, and Urdu. This multilingual approach was specifically designed to reach South Asian workers and other international staff members, ensuring that critical safety and security protocols were clearly understood by all.

Colonel Dr. Salem Rashid Al-Masafri, Chief of the Red Island Police Center, noted that the meeting was held under the direct guidance of the Ministry of Interior and the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command. The primary goal of such initiatives is to foster direct communication between law enforcement and contractors to better address the specific needs and service requirements of the workforce.

Core Topics: Safety and Cyber Defense

The briefing covered several essential topics aimed at protecting both physical well-being and digital security:

  • Industrial Safety Mandates: Detailed instructions regarding safety requirements for factories, construction camps, and ceramic production plants.
  • Cybercrime Prevention: Awareness training on common cyber-related crimes and practical methods to prevent fraud.
  • Police Support Services: Information on how to utilize the Red Island Police Center for reporting safety concerns or filing complaints.

Awareness Campaign, Not New Regulations

It is important to clarify that this event served strictly as an awareness campaign. The police confirmed that no new fines, visa categories, or bans were announced during the session. Contractors are expected to continue fulfilling their existing safety and regulatory obligations as per current laws.

The session also encouraged proactive engagement; the attendees concluded the meeting by submitting four development proposals through the X10 platform for review by the police authorities.
