The Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai have officially launched Punjab Land Record Services, developed in collaboration with the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA).

As of September 8, 2026, the service is fully operational, allowing overseas Pakistanis residing in the United Arab Emirates to secure official land ownership documents, known as 'Fard', and other property-related records for land located in Punjab province without the necessity of traveling to Pakistan. This initiative serves more than 1.5 million Pakistani expatriates in the UAE, a population that contributes over $5 billion in annual remittances. The service aims to mitigate the high costs, significant time requirements, and risks of fraud previously associated with flying home or relying on relatives and agents to manage agricultural land, houses, or plots in Punjab.
To avail of these services, applicants are instructed to contact the 24/7 helplines of the Embassy in Abu Dhabi or the Consulate in Dubai, or visit the missions during office hours. Required documentation typically includes an original CNIC or passport, property details, and a formal application. This rollout follows similar digital land record and passport services introduced for Pakistani citizens in the United Kingdom in August 2025. Officials have stated that this program is part of the Pakistan government’s broader strategy to digitize public services for overseas citizens, thereby bringing essential facilities closer to the community and reducing the burden of international travel.
