Pakistani Expat Retires After 41 Years With Ras Al Khaimah Police
On 16 September 2026, 60-year-old Pakistani national Muneer Hussein Muneer announced his retirement following a 41-year career with the Ras Al Khaimah Police in the United Arab Emirates. Having arrived in the country at age 19, Muneer joined the Ministry of Interior in 1986.

- He served as a uniform supervisor and foreman under five different Commanders-in-Chief.

Professional Duties and Awards
During his career, Muneer's duties included processing uniform requests, issuing specialized gear, and recording measurements for new recruits. Beyond his professional responsibilities, he received numerous accolades, including 10-, 20-, and 30-year service certificates, the Golden Jubilee Certificate, and the Union Service Award. His service history also included operational support during Expo 2020 Dubai and two Umrah trips organized by the RAK Police during Ramadan.
Retirement Honors and Future Plans
On his final day, Brigadier General Mohammed Obaid Al Khatri honored Muneer with a commemorative shield. Muneer subsequently submitted a formal thank-you note to Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi and other senior leadership. Muneer married in 1992 and raised three children in the UAE. His eldest daughter resides in the United States, his son is an engineering graduate from Germany, and his youngest daughter is a doctor in Pakistan. Unlike many expatriates who return to their home countries upon retirement, Muneer has chosen to remain in Ras Al Khaimah to launch a small business. He stated that he considers the UAE his home, noting that his formative years, career, and family life were established within the Emirates.
