On Thursday, September 17, 2026, security forces in Kuwait's Hawally Governorate conducted a comprehensive joint inspection operation, resulting in the apprehension of 122 wanted persons and violators. The operation, led by the Hawally Governorate Security Directorate in collaboration with the Kuwait Municipality and the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, focused on a wide array of enforcement areas including traffic, municipal regulations, and food safety.

Authorities executed a total of 195 field-deployment measures, utilizing patrols, checkpoints, and security posts. The combined efforts of these agencies led to the recording of 1,074 total actions and violations. Among these,
547 traffic violations were issued, and
five vehicles on the official wanted list were seized. Furthermore,
62 vehicles were marked with removal stickers, and
44 abandoned vehicles, along with unauthorized items such as boats, caravans, buses, motorcycles, diwaniyas, and external fences, were removed.
The Kuwait Municipality recorded 44 violations, while the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition issued 14 violations and
seized and destroyed 12 kilograms of adulterated food products. Additionally, authorities cited
seven violations related to smoking in enclosed spaces. Despite the scale of the operation, no nationality breakdown for the 122 apprehended individuals was released by officials, and no specific community was targeted. As part of the humanitarian aspect of the deployment,
34 aid packages were distributed. Legal proceedings will be handled by the respective authorities based on the jurisdiction of each violation. Residents and expatriates are advised to ensure their Civil IDs, residency status, vehicle registrations, and insurance documents are valid and to remain compliant with all municipal and public safety regulations, as authorities continue to conduct integrated field inspections across Hawally.
