Kuwait Urges 8700 Palestinians To Update Residency Fast

Kuwait has started a new process for residents who hold Palestinian travel documents. Kuwait’s General Department of Residency Affairs wants these individuals to change to Palestinian Authority passports. Notifications are sent through the Sahel government app to tell people to visit the embassy.

H.E. Rami Tahboub, the Palestinian Ambassador to Kuwait, said the embassy is working with Kuwaiti officials. The embassy has added more resources to handle the high number of applicants quickly. Affected residents must get their PA passports from the embassy and then update their residency permits.

Failing to complete this process in three months can cause serious delays for residency renewals. This shift helps residents use internationally recognized passports instead of older travel documents that often caused travel issues.
