The event is specifically designed to assist Indian expatriates living in Dubai and across the Northern Emirates, including Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain, who may be struggling with complex legal or financial issues.
Addressing Fraud and Identity Theft
The counseling sessions will focus on several critical areas where many residents have recently faced difficulties. The camp aims to provide guidance on:
- Cyber fraud and digital security threats.
- Online banking fraud and financial scams.
- The misuse of Emirates ID information.
How to Attend the Camp
The Consulate has ensured that the process for seeking help is as straightforward as possible:
- Location: The camp will be held at the Consulate Auditorium.
- Timing: The sessions will run from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
- No Appointment Needed: This is a walk-in event, allowing residents to seek help without prior registration.
- Cost: All legal advice provided during this session will be pro-bono (free of charge).
A Stern Warning Against Unauthorized Agents
In light of recent security concerns, the Consulate has issued a serious warning to all citizens regarding unauthorized agents. There have been instances of individuals soliciting highly sensitive documents under the guise of assisting with employment, exit permits, emergency certificates, or visa regularizations.
Indian nationals are strongly advised never to share their passports, Emirates IDs, or biometric data—including facial recognition or fingerprint scans—with third-party agents.
