This new link promises to transform the daily journey between the two emirates into a fast, seamless, and affordable experience.
Rapid Transit and Budget-Friendly Fares
The new service is designed to slash travel times significantly. Passengers can now travel between the two cities in approximately 57 minutes. To cater to different needs, Etihad Rail has introduced two distinct classes of service:
- Comfort Class: Starting from just 39 AED.
- Premium Class: Starting from 109 AED.
The Al Yalayis station in Dubai, situated near Jumeirah Golf Estates, is slated to begin operations on September 30, 2026. For those looking to catch the very first trip, the inaugural train is scheduled to depart Dubai at 6:14 a.m., arriving at the Mohammed Bin Zayed City station in Abu Dhabi.
Seamless Connectivity for Daily Commuters
One of the standout features of this new service is its integration with existing transport networks. To make transfers effortless, the Al Yalayis station will be linked to the Dubai Metro Red Line via a 400-meter pedestrian bridge connecting to the Jumeirah Golf Estates station.
