The highly anticipated service is scheduled to begin operations on September 30, 2026, marking a major milestone in the nation's transport infrastructure.

The new rail link promises to drastically reduce travel times between the two emirates, with the journey taking approximately 57 minutes. To cater to different passenger needs, Etihad Rail has introduced two distinct travel classes:
- Comfort Class: Starting from 39 Dirhams
- Premium Class: Starting from 109 Dirhams
Inaugural Service Schedule
On the first day of operations, the service will offer five round trips to accommodate travelers. The inaugural train is set to depart from the Dubai station at 6:14 a.m., arriving at the Abu Dhabi Muhammad Bin Zayed City station at 7:18 a.m.
Seamless Connectivity at Al Yalayis Station
The service will launch alongside the opening of the Dubai Al Yalayis station, situated at Jumeirah Golf Estates. Designed with passenger convenience in mind, the station offers excellent integration with existing transport networks and local amenities:
- Metro Access: A 400-meter pedestrian bridge provides a direct link between the Al Yalayis station and the Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro station.

- Road Access: The station is easily reachable via major routes, including E311, E44, and D57.
