Six Rajasthan Youths Trapped in Dubai Recruitment Scam

Six young men from the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan are living a nightmare in the UAE, alleging they have been caught in a brutal Dubai recruitment scam involving forced labor and extortion.
Promises of Employment Turn Into Exploitation
The victims, hailing from the Jhunjhunu and Churu districts, arrived in the UAE between October 1 and 3, 2026. They were reportedly promised legitimate employment at a company named MBM. However, upon arrival, they were instead forced to work under a labor contractor identified as ABC supply company.
One of the workers, tile mason Mehboob Ali from Dabri Dhir Singh, revealed that he had already paid a local agent, Suresh Kumar, ₹50,000 to secure the promised job. Instead of the career they were sold, they found themselves in a cycle of debt and hardship.
16-Hour Shifts and Seized Passports
The working conditions described by the laborers are harrowing. According to the victims, they are subjected to grueling 16-hour shifts, starting as early as 4:00 AM and lasting until 9:00 PM. They are reportedly denied leave, even when suffering from illnesses.
- Seized Documents: Passports were reportedly taken from the workers immediately upon their arrival.
- Wage Theft: The workers claim they are being denied their wages, with the company stating that payments will only be processed after two months.
- Extortion: To retrieve their passports and return to India, the men are being told they must pay 3,000 dirhams (approximately ₹80,000) each.
Desperate Pleas for Help
In a state of exhaustion and poor living conditions, the youths have released video pleas for assistance. They have directed their cries for help to the Indian Consulate in Dubai and the Ministry of External Affairs, seeking urgent intervention.
"If we face any harm, the agent and the supply company should be held
