Dubai Migrant Workers Office to Accept Card Payments for OFW Services

The Migrant Workers Office (MWO) for Dubai and the Northern Emirates has announced that electronic point-of-sale (POS) and card payments will be accepted for various services beginning September 14, 2026. This policy change applies to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) residing in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain.

New Payment Options for OFWs
Previously, clients were required to pay only in cash, specifically a fee of AED 40 for contract verification. Under the new guidelines, card payments will be accepted for Balik-Manggagawa contract verification, employer accreditation, job order processing, rehire processing, direct hire processing, and Tadbeer hiring. Cash payments will continue to be an accepted form of transaction alongside the new electronic options.
