Dubai MWO Starts Card Payments For OFW Services Starting September 14

The Migrant Workers Office – Dubai and Northern Emirates is launching card and electronic payments for walk-in clients. This update brings easier ways to pay for many important services starting soon.

  • Card and POS payments start on Monday, September 14, 2026.
  • Five specific services will accept the new payment method.
  • Cash payments will still be accepted alongside cards.

Services and Payment Details

The new payment facility is applicable to five specific walk-in services. These include Balik-Manggagawa contract verification, employer accreditation and job order processing, rehire processing, direct hire processing, and Tadbeer hiring. While the office will introduce card payments, officials confirmed that cash payments will continue to be accepted.The fee for contract verification is set to remain at AED 40, with no price increases associated with the introduction of the card payment system. Users opting for card transactions may be required to pay standard bank or card processing fees, in addition to applicable VAT. Labor Attaché Atty. John Rio A. Bautista stated that the initiative is part of an ongoing effort to enhance service delivery.

The facility operates Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm and on Fridays from 7:30 am to 12:00 noon.
