Dubai MWO Now Accepts Card Payments for OFW Contract Verification

Starting Monday, 14 September 2026, the Migrant Workers Office – Dubai and Northern Emirates will introduce debit and credit card payment options at its counters for five essential services. This update aims to streamline the process for Overseas Filipino Workers who previously relied exclusively on cash transactions.

  • New debit and credit card payment options introduced at counters
  • Applies to five essential services at the Al Qusais office
  • Cash remains an accepted payment method

Payment Details and Services Covered

Previously, all contract verification services at the Al Qusais office required a Dh40 cash payment. The introduction of point-of-sale machines addresses recurring requests from OFWs, principals, and Tadbeer centers, eliminating the need for clients to seek off-site ATMs or exchange houses to finalize their paperwork. The official verification fee remains fixed at Dh40; however, card users may be subject to standard merchant fees and applicable VAT on those fees.

The services covered under the new payment system include: Balik-Manggagawa and individual contract verification, employer accreditation and job-order processing, rehire processing, direct-hire processing, and Tadbeer hiring. Cash remains an accepted payment method at the office.

Office Location and Contact Information

Labor Attaché Atty. John Rio A. Bautista stated that the initiative is designed to reduce logistical friction for walk-in clients. While MWO-Dubai continues to offer an online contract-verification track via DataFlow which already accepts card payments, the POS terminals provide a necessary alternative for those requiring or preferring physical window services.

The office, located at No. 35A Beirut Street, Community 234, Al Qusais 3, Dubai, within the Philippine Consulate General compound, will maintain its regular operating hours: Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. For inquiries, the office can be reached for contract verification at +971 50 652 6626, OWWA at +971 50 558 5536, or Assistance to Nationals at +971 56 353 5558.
