Starting from Wednesday, September 2, the new rates include an increase in the cost of Jayyid 91 and Super 98 grades.
Jayyid 91 is now priced at 0.225 Bahraini dinar per litre, marking an increase of 3 fils from the August rate of 0.222 dinar.
Super 98 has seen a significant hike of 18 fils, rising from 0.362 dinar to 0.380 dinar per litre. Meanwhile, Mumtaz 95 remains steady at 0.247 dinar per litre, and diesel continues to be priced at 0.229 dinar per litre. Bahraini authorities confirmed that diesel subsidies for local fishermen will continue.
The Bahrain Fuel Pricing and Monitoring Committee stated that these rates are determined based on global market developments and domestic economic conditions. The committee continues to monitor international market trends to inform future pricing decisions. This update is particularly relevant to the estimated 3.5 lakh Indian residents in Bahrain, the country's largest expatriate community.
