Azizi Launches Massive Housing for 31,000 Workers in UAE

Azizi Developments has officially kicked off enabling works for a series of master-planned workforce communities across Dubai and Sharjah. Once fully completed, these large-scale residential projects are designed to accommodate more than 31,000 personnel.

A Mega-Community in Sharjah

The cornerstone of this initiative is a massive development located in Al Sajaa, Sharjah. This site is set to become a major residential hub, housing over 20,000 residents. To support such a large population, the developer is integrating a wide array of essential services and infrastructure, including:

  • 36 residential buildings spread across the site.
  • Four decentralized neighbourhood hubs.
  • Five medical clinics and a dedicated pharmacy.
  • A central supermarket for daily needs.
  • An 18,945-square-foot Training and Community Centre capable of hosting over 400 people for technical and safety training programmes.

The Sharjah community will also feature landscaped open-air courtyards and dedicated bus bays for 155 vehicles, supported by Azizi's existing fleet of more than 500 passenger buses.

Boosting Efficiency through Proximity

A key strategic advantage of the Sharjah site is its location. It sits adjacent to more than one million square feet of Azizi-owned manufacturing facilities, which include factories for aluminium, joinery, marble, glass-reinforced concrete, modular ductwork, and bathroom pods. By placing workers close to these production sites, the developer aims to minimize commutes, reduce worker fatigue, enhance safety, and increase overall supply-chain efficiency.

Expansion in Dubai's Industrial Zones

In Dubai, the project focuses on two accommodation centres located in Jebel Ali Industrial 1. Spanning over 137,000 square metres, these facilities will provide housing for more than 9,700 workers. To ensure a high quality of life, the Dubai sites will include:

  • Recreational lounges and indoor gymnasiums.
  • On-site medical clinics.
  • Flexible dining options, including self-cooking kitchens and commercially catered meals.

Timeline and Vision for Welfare

Construction is already moving forward in certain areas, with enabling and shoring works having commenced in Jebel Ali. In Sharjah, site preparation is slated to begin in late October 2026, with the entire project expected to undergo phased delivery through late 2027.

Farhad Azizi, Group CEO of Azizi Group, highlighted that the initiative is a core part of the company's commitment to worker welfare.

"The project integrates medical care, recreational amenities, and professional upskilling academies to set a progressive living benchmark," said Farhad Azizi.

Azizi Developments continues to maintain a massive footprint in the region, having previously delivered over 45,000 homes and currently managing approximately 150,000 units under construction.
