New 4,300sqm Park Unveiled at Al Ain's Iconic Clock Roundabout
The landscape of Al Ain is undergoing a major transformation as the Al Ain City Municipality officially unveils a massive 4,300-square-meter park at the city's legendary Clock Roundabout.
Located on Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street, the new green space is designed to merge nature with physical activity, offering a much-needed sanctuary for residents and visitors alike. The announcement, made via the municipality's official social media channels, highlights the integration of leisure and wellness into the urban fabric of the city.
A Hub for Fitness and Leisure
The redevelopment project focuses on enhancing the quality of life for the local community by providing accessible outdoor amenities. The park is not just a visual upgrade but a functional space equipped with several key features:
- Extensive Greenery: Over 4,300 square meters of lush, landscaped gardens.
- Cycling Paths: Dedicated lanes for enthusiasts to enjoy the fresh air.
- Walking Trails: Scenic routes designed for pedestrians and joggers.
The Transformation of a Landmark
The Clock Roundabout, a cornerstone of Al Ain since 1970, has seen significant changes recently. Following the removal of the original structure in February 2025, the site underwent an intensive 15-month redevelopment process to modernize the junction.
The centerpiece of this modern upgrade is a striking 80-meter arch structure. This impressive installation houses a four-faced clock, a design inspired by the famous Omega Constellation.
Serving the Heart of Al Ain
This urban improvement project serves as a vital amenity for several key neighborhoods, providing a central meeting point for:
- Downtown Al Ain
- Al Jimi
- Al Muwaiji
By integrating leisure and movement into one of the city's most recognizable junctions, the municipality aims to breathe new life into the area, making it a destination for social and physical well-being.
