This partnership expands access to over 80 destinations across Asia, Australia, and Europe for flydubai passengers, while Air India travelers gain improved connectivity to various Middle Eastern and international destinations via Dubai. The arrangement is designed to benefit Indian expatriates, families, and business travelers who utilize Dubai as a transit point for destinations not served by direct Air India flights. While not every flight combination is automatically included in an interline itinerary—as availability depends on travel dates, specific flight combinations, and booking inventory—eligible journeys now offer the convenience of combined booking and through-checked baggage. Passengers are advised to verify baggage tags at the origin airport to ensure they indicate the final destination.
Flydubai highlighted key Indian destinations with enhanced connectivity through Air India, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Chandigarh, Goa, Jaipur, Pune, and Varanasi. This network integration also extends to international gateways such as Bali, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Mauritius, Melbourne, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo. Following this deal, flydubai’s total number of interline partners has reached 46, contributing to a combined network reach exceeding 300 destinations.Passengers are cautioned that this interline agreement is distinct from a codeshare agreement. Ticketing, boarding, and operational rules—including terminal information and loyalty points—remain subject to the specific fare conditions of the operating carrier. Existing separate bookings cannot be automatically converted into a single interline ticket. Travelers are encouraged to book via flydubai’s official website, app, contact centers, or authorized partners, and to confirm that their itinerary is issued under a single ticket number.
Furthermore, passengers must still adhere to all passport, visa, and transit requirements for the UAE or other transit points, as the interline ticket does not bypass immigration regulations.
